-Urges more turnout for APC registration

The representative of Ikorodu Federal Constituency, Rep. Babajimi Benson, has compensated residents of Mowo -Nla community in Ikorodu for their electoral value with a 3.3km road construction.
Rep. Benson who is the Chairman, House Committee on Defence, while apologising for not considering the area for projects until now stated that the residents who have been voting massively and emerging as the second highest voters in Ikorodu Federal Constituency, deserve the massive road project.
He flagged -off the road which connects Mowo -Nla to Igbodu, Bagidan, Jajo, Ewuowa, Shonle and Magbon communities on Saturday.

Rep. Babajimi Benson speaking at the flag -off said that it was the Chairman of Ikorodu LG, Hon. Adedayo Ladega who requested for the construction of the 3.3kilometre road and thanked him for his persistence with his request.
He also said that residents of Mowo also deserve the road because of their electoral value and consistent support to the administration.
“The people of Mowo -Nla deserve the road because they always emerge as the second highest in terms of votes in Ikorodu Federal Constituency. I apologise for not bringing projects to this area before now but you are going to get a good road project which is wider than normal roads.
“It will have street lights and we intend to complete the road by May this year.

“We want people in this area to be happy because we are going to be improving the socio -economic activities in the area.
“You are getting this road because you make Abuja happy with your votes but you can still get more if you turnout more to register for the APC.
“You are in the right party which is APC and we want residents of this area to register to be members of our party. As members of the APC you are entitled to certain rights and privileges but you must be on the database electronically. That is how to benefit from government patronage.”
While enjoining them to take part in the ongoing registration exercise, Rep. Benson added that the party has made it easy for people with provision of NIN machines.

Dr Adeola Jokomba, State Secretary, APC who represented the State APC Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, expressed his happiness towards Rep. Benson’s representation. He also assured the lawmaker of the support of Ikorodu.
While stating that Ikorodu is leading other local governments in the state in the ongoing APC registration, Dr Jokomba also urged residents to intensify more efforts in registering more members.
He emphasised that massive turnout for the registration and elections by residents of Ikorodu are crucial in appreciating President Bola Tinubu and the Ikorodu Federal representative for the massive development that Ikorodu has been experiencing.
The representative of Ikorodu Constituency II, Hon. Aro Moshood Abiodun, who also commended Rep. Benson for his quality representation urged residents to take advantage of the ongoing APC registration exercise.

Hon AMA charged those that are willing to register but are having difficulties with their NIN registration to go back to their centre to put down their names before the registration window closes. He assured them that their cases will be sorted out.
Chief Adebayo Awomodu, Baale Ewuowa Gberigbe, Otunba Waliu Daisi, NURTW chieftain and Chief Olawale Kazeem, CDA Chairman, Bagidan, who spoke on behalf of other CDAs and others that spoke also thanked Rep. Benson for facilitating the road project and pledged residents’ full participation in the registration exercise and support for the lawmaker.
